Family Portraiture

I’m just over here hiding inside as the weather is -20 and freezing. So I thought I would post another fall Scarborough Bluffs Park session because I can’t even help myself. It’s one of my favourite locations for outdoor photography sessions and this family of five was a dream to capture. They were all smiles for the camera and enjoyed golden hour at the beach with me. Looking forward to more beach sessions at this location in 2022!

It’s a BOY!!! There is something so special about sessions that are full of anticipation, excitement and love. A gender reveal is literally one of my favourite things to capture as it’s full of all the emotions (and sometimes I’m one of the first people to know what the gender is! How blessed am I?). I’m over the moon happy for this amazing couple on their journey with their impending arrival. Bring on the blue confetti (or blue smoke in this case)!

Scarborough Bluffs Park is one of the most picturesque locations in the city of Toronto for beach lovers. It can also be super busy which makes it very tricky to shoot sessions there. However, this fall day couldn’t have been more perfect and the pictures speak for themselves.

Combine golden hour with Heber Downs Conservation and you have a picture-perfect evening. There is nothing more beautiful than the glowing sun behind the trees in the fall. I had the best time with Angela, Jay and their two adorable children, and I couldn’t resist sharing some of the images from their session. Enjoy!

The epitome of love. When Lindsay asked me to capture the beginning of their new chapter as soon-to-be parents, I was beyond honoured. We selected Port Whitby Marina which is one of my top-favourite spots in the fall, so I knew we were going to have an amazing session. The beach was meaningful to them as a couple-to their unique love story-and it was the most perfect day. Perfect sunlight, calm waters, and the beach ALL to ourselves (a photographer’s dream)!

With COVID closures and the inability to photograph families outside, this session was on hold for close to 4 months! When Aleksandra initially reached out, we were going to shoot a mommy + me session with her two littles but that quickly turned into a family session when her hubby wanted to join. It had been raining all day but because we already had to wait for photography to re-open, we just went for it. And I’m so glad we did!
